Bill Wasley
Company Director

Bill is a company director. He has over 30 years experience in resource management and senior management roles in both the public and private sectors. Bill has a Bachelor of Regional Planning, Hons (Massey University) and a Bachelor of Arts (Massey University). Before founding Wasley Knell Consultants, he held senior positions at the Port of Tauranga and Tauranga District Council, including Acting Chief Executive. Bill is a Hearings Commissioner and Independent Chair and has undertaken a wide range of governance and strategic management work. This includes chairing the SmartGrowth Implementation Committee, and chairing the Christchurch Earthquake Advisory Group and Hamilton City Proposed District Plan hearings.

Greg Knell
Company Director

Greg is a company director. He has over 25 years experience in resource management consultancy, in both the private and public sectors and local Government. He joined Wasley Knell as a director in 1997. Greg has a Bachelor of Town Planning (University of Auckland). He has a wide range of experience in both the preparation and co-ordination of resource consent applications for a range of large corporate clients to individuals and community organisations. In the course of this work, he has presented opinions on a range of issues to local authorities and has also presented expert evidence to both the Environment and High Courts. Greg has extensive experience in aged care development proposals throughout New Zealand.

Tracy Hayson
Company Director & Principal Consultant

Tracy is a company director with over 12 years experience in resource management, both as a consultant and in Local Government. She joined Wasley Knell in 2004 and has a wide range of experience in both strategic planning and resource consent application preparation and processing. Her work primarily focuses on preparing resource consent applications, processing consents and policy formulation. Tracy has a range of clients ranging from multi-national corporates to private individuals and provides a key planning consultancy service to various District Councils. Tracy has a Bachelor of Social Science, Resources and Environmental Planning (University of Waikato).

Linda Stewart
Project Administrator

Linda started at Wasley Knell in 2008 and is our Project Co-ordinator.  Linda supports the directors in the coordination and management of their various projects and also runs the office. Linda’s background is in project and cost management consultancy, as well as office and project administration.
